A Story and A Lesson

Once upon a time, there was a young boy. He lived with his elder brothers as his guide and wholeheartedly believe in them. He believed that when he grow up he would be just like them. Successful, charming, athletic and all the other positive qualities that one can obtain. This went on till one fateful day.

The boy was invited to a wedding. He was sitted between the two brothers that he looked up to. And so for the first time being at a wedding, the boy was very excited. He was enjoying the whole process and the food a lot. Suddenly the light dimmed and a spot light shined on two person. The bride and the groom. They walked elegantly towards the main table and all eyes were on them.

At that moment, the two elder brothers decided to play a prank on the boy. They took a piece of dried chili from a dish and put it in the boy's plate. They told the boy it was "chicken skin" and it tasted nice. The boy trusting them so much did not even hesitate and put the dried chili into his mouth. The next thing the boy felt was a burning hot sensation in his mouth. And the two brothers were laughing there.

Ever since that experience, the boy no longer trusted the brothers. The event has scarred the boy so much that he no longer trust people and closed his heart from others. All others could see is the front that the boy think they want to see. Little did they know that the boy was crying on the inside.

Betrayed by the ones he trusted the most, an event that has changed the boy forever. A lesson painfully learnt.
